Dear TLQP Friends:
You are invited to Binghamton University’s next great workshop on 21 April.
In this workshop we will highlight two sessions: a mysterious, intriguing one and a delightfully informative mathematical one.
We will be cryptic about the former—but be confident that we have a special surprise for everyone attending.
As for the delightfully informative mathematics, we will (a) consider the connection between mathematical freedom in the classroom and creativity; and (b) extend our discussion of NCTM’s Principles to Actions to the second mathematical practice of the Teaching and Learning Principle, viz. implementing tasks promoting reasoning and problem solving. We will investigate a few activities that target both (a) and (b).
And there really is a free lunch—and light breakfast and free parking too!
We hope to see you there. This invitation is open to all our TLQP friends in both cohorts: everyone is welcome.
